Summer Flutter

How 'bout another happy card today?
I tell ya, these Anya images from The Greeting Farm? It doesn't get much sweeter than that.
I've been itching to give one of these little cuties a wild hair color, and here you go...

Obviously, I need more practice coloring "blue hairs". Ha!
This card is for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge at Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm (to use polka dots), and uses the sketch from the Our Creative Corner challenge.
Wow, it really seems like it's been forever since I've gotten some serious "work" done in The Sanctuary, but it really felt good to make this card last night. I missed that.

Celebrate Today

I just thought I would post something on a happy note today, there seems to be so much sadness and loss lately.
Originally, this card was for a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps sketch challenge, but...... yeah, I didn't get it posted in time. I like how this one turned out, even though in the beginning I thought the patterns I was mixing together looked a little odd.
So here's what's in this one (I hope you like it):
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink- Rustic White, Dark Chocolate
DP: Basic Grey- Porcelain
Stamps: The Greeting Farm- Ballerina Anya; Magnolia- Roses; Rubber Stampede- Crackle Background
Inks: Versafine- Onyx Black; Memento- Rich Cocoa; Colorbox- Rosebud
Markers: Copic
Nesties: Labels Four
Glitter: Ranger- Diamond Stickles
Pearls: Kaisercraft
Ribbon: Making Memories (I think)
I do truly hope that everyone has something that they can celebrate today.
See ya soon!

Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop!

Woo hoo; it's blog hop time!

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it to the blog hop this month, but I'm very happy to say "I got it done on time!"

So this top photo was my inspiration for the card. To me, nothing says summer like a nice, quiet relaxing picnic.

This photo was my color inspiration. I just LOVE this bedding set! It doesn't go with any of the bedrooms in my house; wonder if my DH would mind if I redecorated the guest room so I can buy this? Hee!

Here's the front of the card. I did not intentionally set out to see how many Papertrey sets I could use on one card, but there are total of 7 sets used on here (counting the stamp on the back of the card).

Here's the card back, using the new Trademarks set. Love those! I'll be using them a lot. Not just for cards either. I've recently started making all of our home cleaning supplies and toiletries, and I think these would be fabulous for the labels. Now, I just need a laminator (I know you're reading this, sweetheart)

Materials used:

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink- White, Lemon Tart, Spring Rain, Spring Moss

Stamps: Papertrey Ink- Polka Dot Basics, Friends 'Til the End (sentiment), Vintage Picnic, Scattered Showers, Background Basics Retro (tablecloth), Fancy Flourishes (blue layer, most of which is covered up, darn it), Trademarks (back of card)

Inks: Papertrey Ink- True Black, Lemon Tart, Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Fresh Snow

Markers: Copic (love those coordinating PTI colors)

Decorative Scissors: Fiskars- Mini Scallop

Punch: Fiskars- 1/16" hole punch

Buttons: Papertrey Ink- Spring Rain

Other: Stitching

I can't wait to see what everyone else created for the hop!

See Ya!

KISA

Well, I can post this one now, since my hubby has received it. This is the card I made for him for Father's Day. I really had a lot of fun making this one, although it did take a while to color everything.
I made a stair step card (so easy even I could do it). The DP panels are from K & Company. The dragon, knight and princess images are from Whiff of Joy. I knew I should have gotten that castle stamp as well, but I had this one from EK Success- Disney Princesses. The swirly trees and sentiment are from Verve.
So if you're thinking this is kind of a cheesy card for a grown man; there's a little story behind it. When we were first falling in love, I would tell him he was my "knight in shining armor" or KISA.
It stuck, and I still tell him that occasionally.
Hope to see you all again soon!

Stamps and Smiles Challenge

Wow! It's been FOREVER since I've posted anything.
I've been so creepin' busy with everything (life), and I kind of needed a break, too.
I missed making cards, though.
Hopefully any future absences won't be so lengthy.
This card is for the sketch challenge at Stamps and Smiles (the Fresh Batch). Always such a fun sketch there.
I'm also going a tad out of my comfort zone with the color combo here. Colors this bright are just not typically what I reach for.
But, I don't want to bore you with all that. How 'bout a card to lookee at?

So here it is:
I've got to say- I've missed you ladies, and I'm glad to be back.
Ingredients:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink- White, Raspberry Fizz
DP: Die Cuts with a View
Stamps: Stamps and Smiles- Cuppy Land, Welcome Spring; Papertrey Ink- Polka Dot Basics; Verve- Sunshine Plain Jane
Ink: Versafine- Onyx Black
Markers: Copic
Glitter: Martha Stewart
Stickles- Cotton Candy
Bling: Heidi Swapp
Hope to see "ya'll" again real soon!
