Season of Changes...

... that's the title of the current challenge over at the Papertrey Playhouse blog. Victoria is our hostess and has issued the challenge to make a fall (or winter, if you just can't wait any longer) project.
I received my October release order from Papertrey Ink the day this challenge was posted, and you can't imagine the sheer torture not to create a winter (read: Christmas) card. I behaved myself and put together a birthday card for my brother in law, who has a birthday coming up in the next couple of weeks.
Well, now, that's fairly "autumn-y", don't 'ya think? Hopefully the BIL will like it.
Below is a close-up of the beaded leaf "vein". I just thought the leaf needed a little something, but didn't really feel like fighting with the little piece of felt and my sewing machine to add some machine stitching.

What's in it:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink- Ripe Avocado, Kraft
Patterned paper: Bo Bunny- Forever Fall Collection paper pack
Stamps: Papertrey Ink- Botanical Silhouettes
Ink: Papertrey Ink- Dark Chocolate
Dies: Papertrey Ink- Leaf Prints
Felt: Papertrey Ink- Simply Chartreuse wool felt
Twine: Papertrey Ink- Rustic Cream button twine
Copper embellishments: from my stash ???
Other: Bronze Iris seed beads (from Fire Mountain Gems)
That is all from me for now; I have officially kicked off Christmas card-making season, and must get back to it.
I wish you all a beautiful ink filled weekend.
Smooch!
